DiabeTEASE is doing things a little differently this year!
For the past five years, we’ve brought burlesque, diabetes advocacy, fundraising, and a whole lot of cheek together on one stage. In 2026, we’re taking a break from producing our annual show — but we’re definitely not taking a break from the mission.
This year, DiabeTEASE is joining the Breakthrough T1D Walk!
DiabeTEASE was created because living with type 1 diabetes is hard enough without having to fight for access to the medications, technology, resources, and support you need to stay alive and live well. For too many people, the financial burden of diabetes is still very real — and it’s one of the reasons we started making noise in the first place.
Over the years, we’ve used burlesque to start conversations about diabetes in places those conversations might not normally happen. We’ve raised money, built community, shared some laughs, shown a whole lot of skin, and proved that diabetes advocacy doesn’t have to look just one way.
That part isn’t changing.
We’re just trading the stage for the sidewalk this year.
